Dr. Costas Carajis, a sports psychologist at Brunel University in London, runs a sports club at the same time. He has published several books on sports and exercise psychology and has been a registered sports psychologist for over 11 years. He painstakingly studied the nature and common symptoms of competition anxiety and provided five tips for controlling anxiety to help athletes improve their athletic performance. Anxiety is often the root cause when athletes make serious mistakes on critical occasions. Unfortunately, many high-level athletes inevitably run into this problem during their athletic careers, failing to realize their true potential.
