The levels of T3, T4 and TSH in 66 patients with acute cerebrovascular disease were determined. Fifty-one patients (77.27%) with low T3 syndrome and 18 (27.27%) patients with low T4 syndrome were found. The incidence of abnormal thyroid hormone levels in bleeding group was significantly higher than that in infarction group. The amount of bleeding and infarction area was negatively correlated with the levels of T3 and T4. The more bleeding and infarction area, the lower the T3 and T4 levels and the worse the prognosis. Determination of thyroid hormone in patients with acute cerebrovascular disease, for the judgment of the disease, prognosis, guiding treatment has a certain value and help.
