Antigone is a very ancient Greek tragedy of artistic appeal. However, through textual analysis, it is found that the occurrence of this tragedy is hardly promoted by obvious external factors and must be raised to the psychological and spiritual factors to explain it. Arguably, Antigone led her own death. Digging to the interior reveals the deep psychological motivation for Antigone’s death, the tendencies toward anxiety about their own incestuous ethical identity. The logic behind her action is the religious sentiment that condenses the rich ethical spirit, which reflects the primitive conflicts and deep confusion of human life.
