At present, China has not established a reporting system for foodborne diseases and lacks data on the incidence of foodborne diseases. Even the data on foodborne diseases in developed countries do not fully reflect the actual situation of foodborne diseases, and the omission of reporting data is very serious The reported cases generally consisted of data from surveillance and / or outbreak investigations and seldom included sporadic cases. In order to further understand the true incidence of foodborne illness, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 1,200 consumers in Nanjing City. However, due to the lack of laboratory evidence in the information obtained, the attack rate obtained can only be described as the possible attack rate. As a result, it was found that the incidence of “possible food borne illness” was 35.3%, and there was a difference in the prevalence among consumers of different age, sex, education level and occupation.
