WK—4型挖掘机推压机构制动器改进前的结构型式如图1所示。它是常闭闸瓦式制动器。在左、右闸臂2和5上,安装有闸瓦1和6,O_1、O_2为左右闸臂的支承铰点,3和9是两根可以调节长度的双向螺纹传力杆,7为气缸,压缩弹簧8的张力拉动传力杆9,使制动杆4绕O_3点摆动,使闸臂压向制动轮,所以为常闭闸瓦式制动器。只有向气缸中送入压气,推出活塞杆才会松闸,即当推压机构工作时松开闸臂,不工作或停车时制动闸臂。
