很多实验研究证明,胰岛移植不仅能纠正实验性糖尿病动物的代谢异常,且可能防止糖尿病性微血管病变的发生发展。近年来临床胰岛移植已有了发展,据国际人胰腺与胰岛移植登记处资料,至1980年10月底止,世界上已有68例糖尿病患者作过74次胰岛异体移植,其中仅4例在移植后胰岛移植物保持存活期间可以停用胰岛素。我们于1978年底开始进行胰岛移植实验研究,于1980年6月起对大白鼠与人胎儿胰腺胰岛组织培养方法开展了探索研究.在胰岛移植实验研究取得经验与对人胎儿胰腺胰岛组织培养方法基本掌握的基础上,于1981年11月以来,在我院妇产科的积极协作下,已对11例胰岛素依赖型糖尿病患者进行了胰岛移植临床研究,现简要报道如下。
