Polish authorities recently embarked on amending the law to relax the conditions to attract more foreign firms to wholly-owned or joint ventures in Poland. In early 1989, the Polish Parliament passed a decree allowing and encouraging foreign manufacturers to set up factories in Poland. For a year and a half, Polish Foreign Investment Agency has granted more than 2,000 investment permits to foreign entrepreneurs.
