在生活、生产、科学和科技中,会看见许多数学在生活中的应用。实际上,在理论中,在实践中,在物质世界中,在精神世界中,处处都离不开数学应用,处处都有用场。数学就在身边,它是科学的语言,是一切科学和技术的基础,是日常生活中思考和解决问题的工具。在低年级教学中,年纪较小的学生的接受能力没有初高中的学生强,教师可以通过在教学中应用游戏来引出需要学习的数学内容,然后在“观察”“思考”“探究”等活动中,让学生发现并提出问题,通过亲身实践,主动思考,经历不断的从具体到抽象、从特殊到一般的抽象概括活动来理解和掌握数学基础知识,为数学学习打下坚实的基础。
