2013年5月16日,美国得克萨斯州州长里克·佩里签署了该州第1611号法案,规定在刑事诉讼中,刑事案件的检察官有责任应被告人的要求,向被告的辩护律师全面开放证据,以避免错判的悲剧再次发生。该法案叫做《迈克尔·莫顿法案》,已于2014年1月1日正式生效。它将确保得州的刑事司法体系更加公平,有助于预防冤假错案。法案之所以用迈克尔·莫顿命名,在于是用这位受害者25年痛苦不堪的铁窗生活换来的。(图/东方IC)
On May 16, 2013, Texas Governor Rick Perry signed the state’s Act No. 1611, which provides that in criminal proceedings prosecutors of criminal cases have a duty to prosecute the defendant’s defense lawyer at the request of the accused Open up the evidence so as to avoid wrongful tragedies happening again.
