王亚雄,出生于北京,幼年随父亲学习书法和家具制作,后师从黄苗子先生。1989年赴日本,在徳岛大学、奈良教育大学、东京艺术大学学习生活数年,现为中国艺术研究院艺术创作中心副研究员。王亚雄以他的文人学养进入到他钟情的手工制作之中,他长期坚持手工制作家具、文房用具、茶具酒器以及其他生活用具;他收藏颇丰,涉及广泛,并以此作为他创作和学术研究的基础。王亚雄以文人的姿态一以贯之地对手艺的坚守,既是一种传统风尚的继承,又是一种传统文化的再创造。
Wang Yaxiong, born in Beijing, studied calligraphy and furniture production with his father in his childhood, and later worked under Mr. Huang Miazi. She went to Japan in 1989 and studied life at Tokushu University, Nara University of Education, Tokyo University of the Arts for several years and is currently an associate researcher at the Art Creation Center of China Academy of Art.
