The speed of construction is unprecedented. In the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the deepest impression on people is the high-speed construction scene and the people’s energetic drive and revolutionary spirit. International trains sailed through the Yalu River and reached Sinuiju. Tower cranes hoisted prefabricated structures and many factories and houses were under construction. The sight of this construction is even more impressive after the trip to Pyongyang - cranes are busy working, with superb four- to six-floor buildings on either side of the wide road. In the evening, the lights emitted from the windows of these buildings seem to be arranged in a square pattern, and the pearl-like street lights, in turn, embellish these patterns more beautifully. In Pyongyang, this city of 900,000 people is full of vitality. It is hard to imagine that six years ago this city, ruined by a U.S. plane, would be restored and built so fast.
