By analyzing the combination of various aesthetic theories and feminism contained in Churchill ’s “Wonderful Woman”, this essay shows that Churchill is a writer with a strong theoretical consciousness. Her unique drama can be closely related to her understanding of the theory. At the same time, it is shown that drama based on theory may make the interpretation of text more complicated and confusing, but it can also have a wide range of influence among ordinary audiences.
