A system has been developed that recovers the truth-to-amplitude variations of a particular reflection recorded onshore with binary gain data. The system compensates for spherical diffusion and inelastic losses, calculates changes due to position and arrangement of shots and receive points, suppresses noise bursts like first-arrival bursts, and applies corrections based on these factors.
