目的探讨基质金属蛋白酶(MMP)-2及其组织抑制因子(TIMP)-2的蛋白表达与垂体腺瘤侵袭性的关系。方法采用免疫组化SP法检测8例正常垂体前叶组织、20例非侵袭性和31例侵袭性垂体腺瘤组织中MMP-2和TIMP-2的蛋白表达。结果在正常垂体前叶组织、非侵袭性垂体腺瘤和侵袭性垂体腺瘤中MMP-2的阳性表达率分别为62.5%(5/8)、80%(16/20)和87.1%(27/31),TIMP-2的阳性表达率分别为100%(8/8)、80%(16/20)和38.7%(12/31)。在非侵袭性垂体腺瘤中MMP-2和TIMP-2表达强度差别无统计学意义(P>0.05),在侵袭性垂体腺瘤中二者差别有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论垂体腺瘤的侵袭性与MMP-2和TIMP-2的表达失衡密切相关,二者可能在调控垂体腺瘤的侵袭性生长过程中起重要的作用。
Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) -2 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP) -2 and the invasiveness of pituitary adenomas. Methods Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the protein expressions of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 in 8 normal anterior pituitary tissues, 20 non-invasive and 31 invasive pituitary adenomas. Results The positive rates of MMP-2 in normal pituitary adenomas, non-invasive pituitary adenomas and invasive pituitary adenomas were 62.5% (5/8), 80% (16/20) and 87.1% (27/27), respectively / 31). The positive expression rates of TIMP-2 were 100% (8/8), 80% (16/20) and 38.7% (12/31) respectively. There was no significant difference in the expression of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 in non-invasive pituitary adenomas (P> 0.05). There was a significant difference between invasive pituitary adenomas (P <0.05). Conclusion The invasiveness of pituitary adenomas is closely related to the imbalance of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 expressions, both of which may play an important role in the regulation of the invasive growth of pituitary adenomas.
