时间长河中,有的时期说长也长,说短也短。中国过去30年就是这样一个时间的压缩段。20年前,当歌德学院开始在中国开展工作的时候,举办这样一个展览几乎不可想象。1989年2月国家美术馆举办了一场大型展览,文化大革命后的中国当代艺术这才第一次对自己也向公众宣告自己的存在,展示出艺术的力量。国际上只有一些收藏家和专业人士对此有所耳闻。在中国国内,这一展览遭到了官方甚至大众的不解和质疑。
Over time, there are times that long and long, short and short. China has been a period of compression for the past 30 years. Twenty years ago, when Goethe started its work in China, it was almost unimaginable to hold such an exhibition. In February 1989, the National Art Museum held a large-scale exhibition. This is the first time that Chinese contemporary art after the Cultural Revolution declared itself to the public and demonstrated the power of the arts. There are only some collectors and professionals in the world who have heard about this. In China, the exhibition has been puzzled and questioned by officials and even the general public.
