In the suburbs of Beijing, at the foot of the Great Wall, there is a mysterious place in a green shade. The gates are guarded by armed police armed with guns and ammunition. Pedestrians are not allowed to approach and are not allowed to take pictures. From afar, faintly visible two gold foil signs, one is: China’s manned space command and control center, and the other is: Space Technology Research and Experiment Center. This is what people call “China Aerospace City.” Guarding the hand of 17 detachment officers and men of the Armed Police Beijing Corps, one of the few centers in space technology research and development in the world, buried their pride in their heart with their obscene dedication and lifted their responsibilities toward the blue sky to do the soaring takeoff of the “Shenzhou 6” With little-known contribution, known as “space guards.”
