After the Second World War, Australia, with its abundant natural resources, vigorously developed the export of primary products and jumped into the ranks of developed countries. Since the 1980s, as the prices of primary products on the international market have weakened, the competition in manufacturing products has intensified, giving the development of Australia a shadow over its economic development. To counter this economic challenge, Australia has adjusted its economic development strategy in an effort to change its unfavorable international competitive position by strengthening technological innovation, rejuvenating the manufacturing sector. To this end, the government has formulated a set of policies to ensure the smooth realization of the new strategic goal.
