OBJECTIVE: To qualitative and quantitative analysis of wild and cultivated Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi in the surrounding area of Taishan, provide experimental basis for rational cultivation and screening of high quality Scutellaria baicalensis which is adapted to the surrounding area of Taishan. Methods: Three kinds of active ingredients (baicalin, baicalein and wogonin) of Radix Scutellariae were qualitatively analyzed by the Chinese Pharmacopoeia TLC with the method of HPLC of Chinese Pharmacopoeia and baicalin as the quantitative indexes, Origin, different growth stages, different parts of Taishan surrounding area 22 Scutellaria samples. Results: In different parts of Scutellaria baicalensis, baicalin mainly distributed in the root of effective part, the contents were 11.73% ~ 15.47%, which were all higher than that of Chinese Pharmacopoeia to the content of baicalin in Scutellaria baicalensis not less than 9% Less than 5% or undetectable. Baicalin in different growth stages, baicalin content showed: 3-year-old> 4-year-old> 2-year-old> 5-year trend. The content of baicalin in wild baicalin is higher than that of baicalin in cultivation. The baicalin content of Scutellaria baicalensis grown in weakly alkaline sandy loam was higher than that of Scutellaria baicalensis grown in clay. Conclusion: Scutellaria baicalensis baicalensis, baicalein, wogonin and other active ingredients in different areas around Taishan contain different contents, baicalin content in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is relatively high and content in stems and leaves is low. In sandy loam soil, the content of baicalin in Scutellaria baicalensis which grown for 3 years was the highest, and its quality was better in the wild.
