In order to understand the process of sea ice formation in different regions of the Weddell Sea in the Antarctic, 27 ice core crystals in the Weddell Sea Ice Survey from September to October in 2006 were analyzed and the formation of the ice layer reflected in the ice core was described. Two ice cores Complete ice core crystal photos and polygonal crystal snow ice photos, as well as the corresponding photo ice description and ice salinity, density, particle size. According to the sea ice formation process revealed by the ice core crystal, it was found that the ice core crystal revealed that the actual ice layer can be overlapped ice formed by the combined action of heat and power, though larger surface formation ice floes are selected for field investigation. Ice ridges, two years of ice; and from the surface to the bottom of the pure thermodynamic growth of ice formation accounted for a small proportion. Snow is dense and moisture involved, and then freeze to form a polygonal crystal snow ice is also one of the main components of the Antarctic sea ice. Particulate crystals, transitional mixed crystals and columnar sea ice accounted for 28.7%, 14.4% and 55.2% of the total length of 27 ice cores, respectively. The regional distribution of sea ice shows that the sea ice marginal zone is dominated by pure thermodynamic growth in one year ice. At the front of the ice shelf, the proportion of overlapping ice and consolidated ridges formed by dynamic action increases, and there are two years of ice and polygonal crystals Snow ice; ice lake growth in a large area of pure thermodynamics sea ice growth and outward transportation.
