洪湖县粮食局财会股长、老党员叶立功同志,最近接到省总工会颁发的“自学成才”光荣证书时,思绪万千,心潮久久难以平静,他怎能忘记那刻苦自学的四十年。他十二岁到一家私人粮行当徒工,由于家境贫寒,只上过一年半的学。学徒期间,他在黑暗的角楼里点着微弱的蜡烛,学识字、学珠算、学记帐。从此开始了他的自学生涯。解放后,老叶同志一直从事财会工作,不管工作和家务事多忙,从不放松自学。由于孩子小,爱人也要上班,为了不影响工作和学习,全家人到食堂进餐。以后他当了财会股负责人,下属单位多,工作量大,有时晚上还要加班加点,再加上他的文化程度低,每走一步,都必须付出双倍的力气。多年来,他除了坚持自学文化基础知识 Comrades Ye Ligong, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Party Member of Honghu County Grain Bureau, recently received a glorious certificate of “self-taught and accomplished talent” issued by the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions.
