As multiplex rates increase, conventional multipathing (RMS) increases the decay of the electro-optic effect. These decaying effects on dynamic and steady-state processes are caused by the close relationship between Von and Voff and the relatively low nonlinearity of the electro-optic properties of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) at high transmission rates.
