为评价甲基吡啶磷微粒胶囊制剂的灭蝇效果,为应用提供依据,将该制剂分别以有效剂量150mg/m~2和300mg/m~2涂抹在3种载体表面,在实验室进行速杀和持效生物测试.在玻璃板面、油漆木板面、水泥板面上两剂量对家蝇的击倒中时KT_50分别是1.88～3. 33分钟、1.43～3.76分钟、2.07～7.98分钟;对家蝇的24小时死亡率分别是100%、100%、90%～100%.说明该制剂对家蝇击倒速度快、死亡率高,持效可在12周以上.
