白粉菌在自然界中广泛存在,能侵染多种农作物和经济作物,给世界农业生产带来了严重的损失。科学家以拟南芥为模式植物,对植物抗白粉病机理研究取得了一定的进展,已发现包括EDR2在内的调控白粉病抗性的多个关键基因。拟南芥edr2突变体表现对白粉病增强的抗性和白粉菌诱导的细胞死亡,同时edr2突变体还表现增强的乙烯诱导的衰老反应。 Powdery mildew is widespread in nature, can infect a variety of crops and cash crops, the world agricultural production has brought serious losses. Scientists have used Arabidopsis as model plant to make some progress on the mechanism of plant powdery mildew resistance. A number of key genes that regulate resistance to powdery mildew, including EDR2, have been discovered. The Arabidopsis edr2 mutant showed enhanced resistance to powdery mildew and cell death induced by powdery mildew, while the edr2 mutant also exhibited enhanced ethylene-induced senescence.
