6.4 Three-dimensional data processing Three-dimensional data processing has applied almost all the concepts of two-dimensional seismic data processing. However, quality control, static correction, velocity analysis and offsetting of 3D acquisition systems do cause a lot of extra complex problems. In the preprocessing stage, editing of high-level noise channels, geometric diffusion correction, deconvolution and lane balancing, field static correction (land and shallow water) should be done. In conventional two-dimensional processing, tracks are merged into CMP gathers, whereas in three-dimensional processing, paths are deconvoluted. When the line is straight, the bundled coplanar gathers of the harnesses coincide with the CMP gathers. Salad noodle set leads to some special problems. For sloping interfaces, most land-based data and obvious cable plumes are present
