Windsaki Park in the northeastern corner of Kyoto is Japan’s first modern park, where many of the city’s major cultural institutions are concentrated. The Big Torii, a gateway to the shrine of Heian Shrine, is painted in red and is one of the most eye-catching signs in the city. It is also a special symbol of Okazaki Park. There is a canal in the south of the park. The canal communicates with He Maochuan. The nearby area is a cultural/scientific area of the city and the building height is limited to 20 meters or less. Around the Museum of Art: On the other side of Torii is the Kyoto Prefectural Museum of Art. The Museum of Art is located on the north side of the prefectural library and on the west is an industrial exhibition hall. The museum has a small base. It is a special museum for the collection and exhibition of the 20th century Western and Japanese artworks collected by the country. Like this type of art museum, the only one in the country is located in Tokyo.
