变调夹(英文:Capo)最初的用途是调整吉他的音调,将其作为民谣吉他弹唱中常用的辅助工具,能够在转调时压住所在品位,从而使曲调相应音程升高,使其与演唱者的嗓音相协调,并且采用原指法弹奏,大大降低了转调的难度。经过一段时间的发展,变调夹已经被广泛用于各种风格的吉他演奏中。用于独奏曲目时,变调夹常被置于第一到第四品之间,其中被放置在第二品的频率最高,高于第四品的使用基本上只见于伴奏。
