自1970年以来,各国的研究者已对花粉贮藏做了许多工作。果树及多种作物的花粉在离体条件下保存于液氮中,都已成功地延长花粉寿命。在—196℃温度下,花粉能经受住内部生理生化和能量代谢几个阶段的变化,并能以较少的花费贮藏大量的花粉样本;从而使雄性种质资源得到有效和保险的贮藏。业已证明,贮藏期间温、湿度的变动起伏将会促进花粉老化而丧失生活力。本文报道二个番木瓜种的花粉经液氮贮藏后,对活力和受精能力的影响。
Researchers from various countries have done a lot of work on pollen storage since 1970. Pollen from fruit trees and many crops is successfully maintained in liquid nitrogen in vitro and has successfully extended the pollen life. At the temperature of -196 ℃, pollen can withstand the changes in several stages of internal physiology, biochemistry and energy metabolism, and can store a large amount of pollen samples with less expense. Thus, male germplasm resources can be effectively and safely stored. It has been demonstrated that fluctuations in temperature and humidity during storage will promote pollen aging and loss of viability. This paper reports the effect of pollen from two papaya species on viability and fertilization after liquid nitrogen storage.
