Microsoft公司官员近日对美国政府颁布的强有力的软件反盗版政策表示欢迎,称这是确保软件业为全美国带来经济利益的重大步骤。 10月1日,克林顿总统签署了计算机软件反盗版行政命令,同一天加利福尼亚州棕榈泉(Palm Springs)举行的“关键任务计算会议”上(Mission CriticalComputing Conference)。副总统戈尔正式宣布了这一行政命令。新的计算机软件反盗版行政命令要求所有联邦政府机构以及联邦政府经费的接受者保证合法使用正版软件。美国政府是世界最大的信息技术采购商,每年要花大约200亿美元购买与计算机相关的服务和设备。
Microsoft officials recently welcomed the powerful software anti-piracy policy promulgated by the U.S. government, saying that this is a major step to ensure that the software industry brings economic benefits to the United States. On the 1st of October, President Clinton signed an executive order for anti-piracy computer software, the same day at the Mission Critical Computing Conference held in Palm Springs, California. Vice President Gore officially announced this executive order. The new computer software anti-piracy executive order requires that all federal agencies as well as recipients of federal government funds guarantee legitimate use of copyrighted software. The U.S. government is the world’s largest information technology buyer and spends about $20 billion a year on computer-related services and equipment.
