小比例尺的重力资料,除了作为探讨宏观地质构造的重要依据外,在成矿预测、确定找矿靶区方面,同样能够发挥显著的作用. 浙江省1∶50万区域重力成果的一个新收获,突出地表现在盖层构造反映相当清楚.规模在百余平方公里以上的一些地质构造,多有异常显示.仔细分析1∶50万布格重力异常图,可以发现一个重要的现象:已知矿种(金银、铜、铅锌、铁、钼、铀)不同成因类型的大、中型矿床,都产在环状重力异常的内部或其周边上.这就有力地说明,环状剩余重力异常实质上是矿区成矿地质背景(控矿构造或矿源层)的反映.很明显,把这种类型的异常作为划分成矿远景区的基础,无疑是妥当的.从环状异常入手普查找矿,必将缩小靶区,并缩短找矿周期.
