紫玉又名早生高墨,原产于日本,属于欧美杂交种,我所于1985年从日本引入试种。该品种嫩梢灰白色,中等茸毛。卷须间断,中等长。幼叶微红,叶背密生黄褐色毡状毛,叶脉绿色。节间背侧绿色,腹侧具红色条纹。枝条椭圆形,有细槽,成熟枝条为红褐色。果穗大,圆锥形,平均穗重510克,最大穗重870克。果粒椭圆形,平均粒重13克,最大粒重17克。果皮紫黑色,中等厚。果肉质地细腻,汁液多,味甜有草莓香味,含可溶性固形物15~18%,品质优于巨峰,果肉
