北航的大学英语教学分为基础英语(EGP)教学和专门用途英语(ESP)教学两个阶段,两者既是并列关系也是连续关系,两者在上课的时间上有先后,在内容上却相互融合。为了解决目前EGP教学在向ESP教学过渡中存在的断层问题,本文通过调查问卷和教学试验对比的研究方法,论证了专业英语阅读对EGP教学的充实和促进作用,以及EGP教学与ESP教学同步的优越性。指出在大学英语教改实践中,把专业英语阅读融入EGP教学,作为EGP教学和ESP教学的衔接环节,从教学角度来讲是可行的,从学生角度来讲是必须的。
Beihang University College English teaching is divided into two phases: basic English (EGP) teaching and ESP (ESP) teaching. Both of them are not only parallel but also continuous. Both of them have time in class and blend in with each other . In order to solve the current fault of EGP teaching in the transition to ESP teaching, this paper demonstrates the enrichment and promotion of EGP teaching through questionnaire and teaching experiment, as well as the synchronization between EGP teaching and ESP teaching Superiority. It is pointed out that in the practice of college English teaching reform, integrating professional English reading into EGP teaching is a feasible link from EGP teaching and ESP teaching from a teaching point of view, which is necessary from a student ’s point of view.
