安阳钢铁公司经过“六五”技术改造,建成10套轧钢机组,能生产19个钢材系列品种,在全国地方钢铁企业中具有生产能力较大、品种规格较多的潜在优势。但是,由于冶炼系统配套不完善,炼铁和炼钢生产潜力未能发挥出来,形成钢材的生产能力大于炼钢,炼钢又大于炼铁。这种“倒宝塔”的生产结构,制约了轧钢增产,致使经济效益发展缓慢,1983年至1985年三年,年利润一直在5000万元上下徘徊。
