从莘县一株表现蕨叶、花叶的西瓜上得到了分离物W-SX。W-SX经人工接种可侵染茄科、葫芦科、苋科、藜科的17种(或品种)植物。钝化温度为92℃,稀释限点10-7~10-8。病毒汁液在室温下保存50d仍有侵染活性。W-SX不能由蚜虫传播。病毒粒子杆状,长300um。提纯病毒的最大吸收在260um,最小吸收在246um。A260/A280=1.299。在琼脂中与烟草花叶病毒(TMV)的抗血清产生明显的沉淀线。这些结果表明W-SX应为TMV的一个分离物。TMV在所有西瓜病样分离物中占8.65%。这是TMV侵染西瓜的首次报道,其对西瓜的为害性有待于进一步研究。
Isolate W-SX was obtained from a watermelon that showed fern leaves and mosaic leaves in Shenxian County. W-SX can be inoculated by artificial in Solanaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Amaranthus, Chenopodiaceae 17 species (or varieties) plants. Passivation temperature is 92 ℃, dilution limit 10-7 ~ 10-8. The virus juice was still infective at 50 days at room temperature. W-SX can not be transmitted by aphids. Virus particles rod-shaped, long 300um. The maximum absorption of purified virus at 260um, the minimum absorption at 246um. A260 / A280 = 1.299. Antiserum to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) in agar produced a clear precipitation line. These results indicate that W-SX should be an isolate of TMV. TMV accounted for 8.65% of all watermelon disease-like isolates. This is the first report TMV infected watermelon, its harmfulness to watermelon needs further study.
