宁夏司法警官职业学院是我区惟一一所培养司法警察和高等法律职业人才的学校,是自治区司法厅直属的副厅级事业单位。学院现有教职工112名,专任教师55名,其中高级职称17名,中级职称25名。专任教师中取得硕士学位的6名,占专任教师的41.6%;双师型教师(律师、法律工作者、会计师)32名,占专任教师的49%。现有全日制在校生2013名,各类函授生960名。每年承担各类培训任务1000人次。进入新世纪,学院在司法厅党委的正确领导下,在教育厅的指导下,学院党委一班人带领教职工解放思想、开拓创新、抢抓机遇、乘势而上、求真务实、艰苦创业,在短短5年中实现了跨越式发展。学院规模从1998年的900人扩大到2013人,固定资产总值由400万元增加为1700万元,取得了良好的社会效益。2003年被自治区教育厅确定为重点建设的示范性高职学院。最近又经司法部、教育部批准面向陕西、四川等8个省区实现跨省招生,走在了全区高职院校的前列。整合后的学院不仅承担普通中高等学历教育、成人高等学历教育,还承担全区司法行政机关公务员的政治业务、监狱劳教警察警衔晋升、律师、公证员、基层法律服务工作人员的各级各类专业培训任务。在司法厅党委的领导下,集中人力、财力、物力将学院办成一 Ningxia Judicial Police Vocational College is the only one in our district to train judicial police and higher legal professionals in schools, autonomous regions and autonomous regions directly under the deputy department-level institutions.
