The anti-imperialist and anti-feudal May 4 patriotic movement that broke out in 1919 is a landmark event in the history of the Chinese revolution and marks the great beginning of the new-democratic revolution in China. Since then the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party in 1921, the history of the May 4th Movement was actually the preparation period for the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party.
