本文运用“2010年中国西部地区社会经济变迁调查”(CSSC2010)数据,探讨了西部城乡居民教育获得的民族差异,并利用教育获得模型分析了族际教育分层形成的社会机制。研究发现,随着时间的推移,西部居民的教育地位具有明显的提升趋势,民族之间的差距有所下降,但差距仍然显著。这些差距主要是由城乡分割以及家庭之间的阶层分化所致。笔者认为,要想消弭西部教育发展的民族不平衡,并以此推动各民族共享发展和共同繁荣,还需从改善广大中下阶层的受教育环境入手。
Based on the data of 2010 Social Widows Survey in Western China, this paper explores ethnic differences in urban and rural residents’ education in Western China and analyzes the social mechanism of formation of stratified ethnic groups by using the model of educational attainment. The study finds that with the passage of time, the educational status of western residents has been significantly improved. The gap between ethnic groups has declined, but the gap is still significant. These gaps are mainly caused by the segmentation of urban and rural areas and the stratification of families. In my opinion, in order to eliminate ethnic imbalances in the development of education in western China and to promote the shared development and common prosperity of all ethnic groups, we should start with improving the education environment for the broad middle and lower classes.
