In recent years, the fact that the inventory backlog has been increasing has brought enormous waste of manpower, material resources and financial resources to many publishing and publishing units, especially the publishing houses. The backlog of inventories has caused a serious decline in the overall effectiveness of publishing houses, which in turn has restricted the sustainable development of production and operation. Especially at the critical period of the current reform of the cultural system, how to digest inventory as soon as possible in the circulation transaction and how to write off the inventories reasonably at the policy level are issues of particular concern to publishers. In order to further study the overstocking and digestion of inventories and books, we interviewed some of the business experts in the publishing and distribution units and asked them to elaborate their own opinions on this issue from different perspectives, in the hope of providing useful references to colleagues in the industry.
