目的调查柳州地区新生儿α-地中海贫血的携带率及探讨对新生儿α-地中海贫血筛查的必要性。方法采用美国Helena公司SPIFE快速自动电泳分析系统对2009年1月-2009年10月共7815份新生儿脐血标本进行血红蛋白电泳,并对Hb区带进行扫描定量分析。结果调查的7815例标本中,检出Hb Bart′s阳性率为10.9%,其中为静止型α-地中海贫血459例检出率为5.9%、标准型α-地中海贫血378例检出率为4.8%,中间型(Hb H病)20例检出率为0.25%。结论在地中海贫血高发地区宜将Hb电泳作为常规筛查方法,普遍开展新生儿脐血血红蛋白病筛查所具有早期诊断和科学价值。
Objective To investigate the prevalence of α-thalassemia in newborns in Liuzhou area and to explore the necessity of screening α-thalassemia in newborns. Methods 7815 neonatal cord blood samples from January 2009 to October 2009 were subjected to hemoglobin electrophoresis using the SPIFE rapid automated electrophoresis system from Helena, USA. The Hb band was scanned and quantified. Results Among the 7815 samples examined, the positive rate of Hb Bart’s was 10.9%, of which, the detection rate of 459 cases of resting α-thalassemia was 5.9%, and the detection rate of 378 cases of standard α-thalassemia was 4.8 %, 20 cases of intermediate type (Hb H disease) detection rate was 0.25%. Conclusion Hb electrophoresis should be used as a routine screening method in areas with high prevalence of thalassemia. It is an early diagnosis and scientific value to screen newborns with cord blood hemoglobin.
