HeLa cells and BALB / c mice were used as models to investigate the effect of high pressure on the activity and immunogenicity of Coxsackie B virus (CVB). Found under 2 30MPa pressure, combined with other corresponding physical conditions, CVB infection activity can disappear completely. The CVB is still antigenic, can induce mice produce CVB-specific antibodies, titers up to 1:15 0 0. Mice challenged with CVB treated with high-pressure and then challenged with normal CVB had a survival rate of 67% with vaccine characteristics. These results indicate that CVB with high-pressure treatment has an immunoprotective effect and can be used as a potential viral vaccine
