前人将七曜山—金佛山断裂带武隆土坎段活动时代判定为晚更新世,但对这一认识存在分歧。重庆市地震局与中国地震局地质研究所实地察看重庆武隆土坎剖面,判断该剖面反映的现象应是重力作用形成的似断层假象,不是构造活动结果,得出该剖面不是断层剖面的明确结论,即支撑该断层段最后活动时代为晚更新世时期的唯一剖面证据不成立,仍维持其它调查点测年结果给出的该断裂为中更新世断层的结论。
The predecessors decided that the activity period of the ridge section of the Seongsan-Jin-Fushan fault zone in Wulong was Late Pleistocene, but there were differences on this understanding. The Chongqing Seismological Bureau and the Institute of Geology of China Earthquake Administration examined the ridge section of Wulong, Chongqing. The phenomenon reflected by this section should be a hypopharynxial fault formed by gravity rather than tectonic activity. The conclusion is that this section is not a clear fault section The conclusion is that the only evidence of the Late Pleistocene epoch during the last active period that supported the fault was untenable, and the conclusion of the Middle Pleistocene fault was still given by the dating results of other survey sites.
