The World Bank recently released a report entitled “Golden Aging: A Healthy, Positive and Prospering Society for the Aging in Europe and Central Asia,” claiming that countries in Europe and Central Asia are entering an aging society but individuals do not experience aging The main reason for the population trend is a decrease in fertility rather than an extension of life expectancy. According to the report, Central Asia in Europe is the most aging region in the world in terms of population structure. The average age of the population in Central and Eastern Europe is 10 years older than in the rest of the world, while relatively younger countries such as Turkey and Central Asian countries are also rapidly catching up.
