This article describes a microwave non-destructive testing method for non-uniformity in non-metallic media and its microprocessor-based instrumentation and control system. In addition, this article also describes the results of monitoring car tires. Each portion of the tire is scanned by the microwave signal and the amplitude of the transmitted signal is measured by the 8085 microprocessor and signal processing device. When you check for damage defects, the system will automatically “stop.” This method allows accurate monitoring of every part of the tire and can also be used for other axisymmetric non-metallic objects.
