红绿彩瓷器是我国自古以来陶瓷艺术中的一个独具匠心、最接民间地气的品种之一。关于对红绿彩色彩与装饰研究的课题,研究的国家始于日本、意大利。而在国内,红绿彩瓷器在二十世纪初期为大众学者所认识和关注,在近二三十年来,在河北、河南、浙江等地相继发现了数量多、品质高、种类多且使用广泛的红绿彩瓷器,已经远远打破了在此之前的我们对红绿彩的认识。目前经过梳理与整合,对传统红绿彩研究的权威机构包活中国北京故宫博物馆、台北故宫博物院、上海博物馆、南京博物馆、广东省博物馆、河南省文物考古研究所、浙江省文物考古研究所等文博单位的文博专家,复旦大学、吉林大学、景德镇陶瓷大学等高校研究机构。国内学者对传统红绿彩的研究深入,并通过召开了关于红绿彩的学术研讨会和高峰论坛,整合了数量之多的学术论文与有价值的观点,然而对于当代红绿彩作品的研究少之甚少,加之国内对红绿彩的相关研究资料和文献论述的匮乏,至今还处在研究陶瓷红绿彩的探索阶段。
