李明扬和卫立煌都是知名的国民党抗日爱国将领,又都是安徽人。抗战胜利后,这两位将军都住在南京。李明扬公馆在城南八府塘畔,卫立煌公馆则在城西上海路中段一幢洋楼。1948年秋,曾担任过中国远征军司令官、为抗战立下战功的卫立煌闲居南京时,又被热衷于反共打内战的蒋介石重新启用,前往东北指挥国民党军与林彪、罗荣恒统率的东北野 Li Ming Yang and Wei Lihuang are well-known Kuomintang anti-Japanese patriotic generals, and they are all from Anhui. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, both generals lived in Nanjing. Li Ming Yang mansion in the south Palu pond, Wei Lihuang mansion is in the west of Shanghai Road, a foreign building. In the autumn of 1948, he served as commander of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. When Wei Lihwang, who was in office for the war of resistance against Japan, was home to Nanjing, he was reactivated by Chiang Kai-shek who was keen on opposing the Communist Party’s civil war. He went northeast to direct the KMT army and the Central Committee under the leadership of Lin Biao and Luo Rongheng.
