“Comet” mystery July 27, 1949, the United Kingdom first test flight success of the first generation of jet airliner “Comet”. However, flying “Comet” airplanes put into operation between May 2, 1953 and April 8, 1954 occurred in succession. One of them crashed after take-off in Kolkata, India; the other two were mysteriously missing when flying over the Mediterranean Sea, then known as the “Comet” mystery. Later, it was discovered through investigation that the sealed cabin of a jet airliner was continuously pressurized and depressurized when the flight altitude changed, resulting in the fatigue effect of metal materials, which finally led to the airborne disintegration. During this period, the first generation passenger jet developed by the Soviet Union, Figure -104, was first put into service on September 15, 1956. Subsequently, the United States Boeing 707, Douglas DC-8 and France
