绍兴市地处浙江省中北部,辖绍兴、上虞、嵊县、新昌4个县和诸暨市,总人口410万。绍兴是一个新兴工业城市,1988年工业产值达到131.42万元,比1978年的101.12亿元增长12倍,年均递增29.22％。 1989年绍兴市工业在认真贯彻执行中央提出的“治理整顿”方针过程中,积极采取了调整结构,开发产品,依靠科技,拓宽市场等一系列措施,获得了一定效果,工业生产增长速度回落过猛的状况得到制止。去年,全市工业总产值达到140亿元,比上年增长6.5％,今年头5个月,经济增长速度仍达2.29％。
