The bevel gear geometry depends on the cutting machine. The bevel gear has three types of gear: the Gleason gear system in the United States, the Oerlikon gear system in Switzerland, and the Klingelnberg gear system in West Germany. The three teeth are involute involute section, the main difference is due to the use of different cutting methods and the formation of the tooth curvature system. “Gleason” machine tool is arc-shaped teeth, and “Olympus” and “Kling Bayer” is the use of hobbing method made of cycloid teeth or involute teeth. Three different gear machining methods can achieve the same result.
