Translation is a linguistic art. Its mission is to use one kind of language to truly and smoothly express the thought content contained in another kind of language. In the initial stages of learning Chinese to English, it is normal to explain some laws by interpreting a single sentence, which is an inevitable process. Just as a soldier moves forward, it must begin with a practice decomposition. However, the action of disassembly is useless in and of itself; likewise, one can not translate a single isolated sentence but a complete discourse, or a paragraph with a clear context. This is determined by the law of language exchange activities. This also indicates the correct way to learn translation. When studying translation into higher grades, we should not proceed from one word, one sentence, or even one passage. Instead, we should proceed from the discourse as a whole and study translation theories and techniques so as to overcome the limitations of lexical and grammatical frameworks in traditional translation learning A single sentence-based model.
