Xinxiang City is surrounded by the Taihang River in the north and the Yellow River in the south. It is located in the transitional zone between the two major plain areas of the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River and belongs to the warm temperate continental monsoon climate. The distribution of precipitation is extremely uneven.
