Road residue (ie, multi-wax heavy oil) is a byproduct of the oil industry. In recent years, China’s oil industry leaps and bounds, this by-product is growing. Since 1961, it has been used to test surface treatment. After continuous experiments, it has been successfully concluded. At present, a large number of residual oil throughout the country built a pavement surface treatment. Technical appraisal was made by the Ministry of Communications in 1964. It is considered that the construction of surface residues of road oil is technically relatively mature and is economically sound in terms of engineering and transportation. It is an effective measure to improve the road surface and can be promoted and adopted.
